“79th Independence Day”

Our Institute was celebrated the 79th Independence Day of the country with great enthusiasm. The chief guest for the flag hoisting ceremony was captain Sitaram Jadhav, a distinguished patriot who has participated in several key operations that shaped the nation’s security. The program began with offering floral tributes to the portraits of great national leaders Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. This was followed by the hoisting of the national flag by the salute to the tricolour, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem and the State Anthem. The chief guest was felicitated with a shawl and memento by the college and the institute as a token of respect and gratitude. |
In his inspiring speech, Major Jadhav emphasized that struggles ignite human life, and students must rise above despair. He stated that serving the nation gives one’s life its ultimate purpose, enabling us to contribute not only to our homes and communities but also to the welfare of the entire nation and humanity. He has played an active role in the following major military operations: operation Blue Star Peacekeeping Force in Sri Lanka, 1987 Mizo Inter-Counter, 1991–92 Pandit Hatao Operation, 1993 Kargil Operation, 9 May 1999 Kargil War. He inspired students with his words on patriotism, resilience, and national service and also encouraged students, especially girls, to join the armed forces and contribute to the nation’s progress. He urged students of pharmacy to explore opportunities in military service and serve the country through their knowledge and skills. Dr. Ajay Kshirsagar, Principal of the Institute, said that celebrating Independence Day in the presence of a true patriot made the occasion even more meaningful and expressed his heartfelt gratitude and pride in hosting such a distinguished guest.
